Why Your Baby’s First Weeks Deserve More Than a Phone Photo
They grow so fast. You hear it all the time, but when your baby is finally in your arms… you feel it.
And while your phone is full of blurry snaps and sleepy cuddles, there's something deeply powerful about intentionally capturing this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

As a mum of two and a professional newborn photographer, I know how chaotic and precious those first weeks are. That’s why I bring the studio to you. I come fully equipped with calming wraps, soft textures, outfit choices, and even a backup camera — so no matter what, your session is smooth, relaxed, and safe.

I’m also fully trained in newborn handling and safety. Every pose and prop is thoughtfully chosen with your baby’s comfort in mind.

You only get this moment once. Let’s capture the tiny toes, sleepy smiles, and the way they fit so perfectly in your arms — before the next chapter begins.

What to Wear for business or realestate Headshots
Your headshot isn’t just a photo — it’s a first impression. It’s the face on your signboards, your email signature, your website, your brand. And if you’re in real estate, it needs to reflect the trust, professionalism, and warmth that makes people want to work with you.

As a headshot photographer working with agents across the Bass Coast — including O’Brien Real Estate — I’m here to make the process easy, elevated, and comfortable (yes, even if you "hate being in front of the camera").

Here’s how to get the most out of your session — and exactly what to wear to look polished, confident, and approachable.

What to Wear for Real Estate Headshots
✔️ Go for fitted, classic pieces.
Blazers, crisp shirts, and well-tailored dresses or tops always look sharp. Avoid anything too loose or overly trendy — we want timeless, not fast fashion.
Pockets can be a great choice as it gives more options for posing with your outfit.

For business, whats on brand for you?
Your colours and styling as this is the image you will show the world who you are and what the business represents.
Stay true to you or what you want to push out to the public- a clean suit to showcase strong, professional and luxury, or your self in a sweater and jeans warmly presented on a sofa, encouraging a softer vibe.

✔️ Choose colours that flatter your skin tone.(if no brnad colours are present)
Soft neutrals, earth tones, navy, charcoal, and light pastels often photograph beautifully. Avoid bright neons or harsh black and white unless styled intentionally.

✔️ Layer with purpose.
A blazer over a tee or button-up adds depth and structure. For women, soft blouses with minimal jewellery work beautifully. For men, stick to well-ironed collars and clean lines.

✔️ Avoid busy patterns or logos.
Tiny stripes, plaid, or polka dots can distort in-camera. Stick to solids or subtle textures. And unless it’s your agency's logo — leave the branding off your clothes.

💄 Grooming & Prep Tips
Hair tidy and freshly brushed or styled

Clean, tidy, neat nails as they may be in your image.

Clean and natural makeup (or none — that’s okay too!)

Fresh shave or trimmed beard

Bring lip balm or powder if you're prone to shine

Try not to book a facial or peel within 48 hours!

✨ Here’s What I Do For You
You're not expected to be “camera-ready” — that’s my job.

✔️ I edit out blemishes, redness, tired eyes, uneven tones, brighten teeth and distractions — all while keeping you, you
✔️ My editing style is editorial — the kind you see on magazine covers: polished, glowing, elevated
✔️ I gently guide you through posing that feels natural (no stiff arms or awkward angles here)
✔️ I make sure your expression is confident, calm, and welcoming — the kind that builds trust before you even say a word

💡 Remember:
Your headshot should look the way you feel when you're on top of your game.

You’re the local expert. The trusted face. The one who shows up and delivers.

Let’s make sure your photos show that too.
